UPDATE: Oct. 31, 2022, 2:40 p.m. EDT This story has been updated to reflect air fryer pricing and availability as early Black Friday sales kick off.

Black Friday is no longer a day; it's an entire season. And that season is upon us.

With continuing supply chain issues and our good friend inflation wreaking havoc on just about every industry, the earlier you shop, the better. That's why retailers kicked things off in mid-October with the Prime Early Access Sale and competing shopping holidays.

Air fryers are a hot ticket item (just like last year), and we've already seen some hefty discounts on big brands during Amazon's two-day Prime event — including all-time low prices on the Ninja Foodi SP351 Smart Air Fry Oven and the COSORI 12-in-1 Air Fryer Toaster Oven. More Black Friday air fryer deals from popular brands have been trickling in from Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart — and we're expecting many others to drop as we inch closer to Nov. 25.

Keep checking back, as we'll be updating this page regularly with the latest deals on basket-style air fryers, oven-style air fryers, and pressure cooker-slash-air fryer combos.

Note: All newly added deals are marked with a ✨, while deals with a strikeout were either sold out or no longer available at their sale price when we last looked. Anything marked with a 🔥 has dropped to an all-time low price.

Best basket-style air fryer deal

Why we like it

Two baskets are better than one — especially when you want to fry two things at once. The Ninja Foodi XL 6-in-1 2-Basket Air Fryer offers 10 quarts of cooking space split in half. On one side, you can fry up an entire chicken, while the other basket crisps up some Brussels sprouts. And thanks to DualZone technology and Smart Finish, you can intelligently sync the settings to finish both foods at once. Slash 48% off with this early Black Friday deal at Best Buy and invest in this top-rated air fryer for only $129.99.

Best oven-style air fryer deal

Why we like it

At more than $100 off, this Chefman Digital Air Fryer Oven is on sale for less than 50 bucks. Surprisingly, it's still just a few dollars short of its lowest price ever, but it's still a pretty epic deal. It features a 6.3-quart capacity, which is spacious enough to roast an entire chicken, has eight versatile cooking presets for effortless cooking, and requires no preheating. You can get dinner on the table much quicker and never have to heat up your oven. The fryer-oven combo comes with two removable racks, a drip tray, a rotisserie spit, and a rotisserie basket.

Best multicooker deal

Why we like it

When it comes to multicookers, Ninja Foodi and Instant Pot dominate the market. But in the air frying category, the Ninja Foodi edges out its top competitor. It's been perfecting the TenderCrisp technology long before the Instant Brands even tapped into air frying. The XL model is equipped with 14 different cooking functions in one, including air frying, steaming, pressure cooking, baking, broiling, sautéing, sous vide, and more. Better yet, thanks to the SmartLid, you can simply slide the lid to unlock different cooking modes. No need to swap out lids. It comes with an eight-quart cooking pot, a five-quart "Cook and Crisp Basket," and a reversible rack. As one of Best Buy's early Black Friday deals, it's just $149.99 — that's nearly half its usual price.

Instagram accidentally reinstated Pornhub’s banned account

After years of on-and-off temporary suspensions, Instagram permanently banned Pornhub’s account in September. Then, for a short period of time this weekend, the account was reinstated. By Tuesday, it was permanently banned again. “This was done in error,” an Instagram spokesperson told TechCrunch. “As we’ve said previously, we permanently disabled this Instagram account for repeatedly violating our policies.” Instagram’s content guidelines prohibit  nudity and sexual solicitation . A Pornhub spokesperson told TechCrunch, though, that they believe the adult streaming platform’s account did not violate any guidelines. Instagram has not commented on the exact reasoning for the ban, or which policies the account violated. It’s worrying from a moderation perspective if a permanently banned Instagram account can accidentally get switched back on. Pornhub told TechCrunch that its account even received a notice from Instagram, stating that its ban had been a mistake (that message itse...

California Gov. Newsom vetoes bill SB 1047 that aims to prevent AI disasters

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has vetoed bill SB 1047, which aims to prevent bad actors from using AI to cause "critical harm" to humans. The California state assembly passed the legislation by a margin of 41-9 on August 28, but several organizations including the Chamber of Commerce had urged Newsom to veto the bill . In his veto message on Sept. 29, Newsom said the bill is "well-intentioned" but "does not take into account whether an Al system is deployed in high-risk environments, involves critical decision-making or the use of sensitive data. Instead, the bill applies stringent standards to even the most basic functions - so long as a large system deploys it."  SB 1047 would have made the developers of AI models liable for adopting safety protocols that would stop catastrophic uses of their technology. That includes preventive measures such as testing and outside risk assessment, as well as an "emergency stop" that would completely shut down...
